Naming a company for families living with dementia is harder than it sounds. Every clinical word carries a weight we did not want to hand anybody at the start of their worst year.
Glya comes from glia — the cells that hold the nervous system together, feed it, and clear up after it. They do not fire. They are not the signal. They are what makes the signal possible, quietly, for a lifetime.
That is the job we are trying to do for caregivers: not to be the story, but to hold the rest of it together while you live it.
